In these fast living modern times you'll find it extremely rare to meet any couples who haven't already lived together before getting married.
Steve & Noreen are one of these amazing rare couples! I've never met a more excited bride on her wedding day or a couple more suited to one another then these two. Their combined German and Irish heritage played a very important role in their wedding plans. They chose to have a classic catholic wedding ceremony at the St. Peter Apostle Church in Leamington Spa.
It was a beautiful warm Friday in late August. The weather couldn't have been any better. Steve's family and friends all flew over from Germany, where he was born, to celebrate their special day. Luckily the language barrier didn't prove to be a problem! Noreen arrived with her bridesmaids in a magnificent silver blue Phantom Rolls Royce which added that little touch of class to the day.
They really wanted to make sure they had some unique photos captured before moving onto their wedding reception. So a visit to another location was planned during their special day. We took a small detour to the glorious Mill Gardens right in the heart of Warwick City. It sits right on the banks of The River Avon overlooked by Warwick Castle. It made the perfect medieval backdrop to their photos.
I love catholic weddings. Not only because the churches are usually well lit and spacious but because the priests often allow me to do what I want. They're usually a little more laid-back then a Church of England wedding. Steve & Noreen's wedding was no exception. I was able to move around freely during the ceremony capturing real moments throughout.
They chose to have their reception at the Warwickshire Golf and Country Club in Leek Wootton. A couple golf buggies were arranged for us all to take a short drive away from the hustle and bustle of the day! They didn't want any bridal preps or evening coverage as they wanted to use the rest of their budget to create their own wedding album instead.
"Before we went away we wanted to say a big thank you to you for photographing our wedding. It was obvious to see that you went to a huge amount of effort to get shots in and you made us feel very comfortable in front of the camera.
We felt like nothing was too much trouble and we are so happy you came and took some photos in the gardens in Warwick.
Thank you for looking at these beforehand and all the time you have taken to answer our questions when we've e-mailed or met up. I hope you continue to have a good summer!
Thank you so so much for creating such a beautiful photo book for us. It's absolutely perfect! Thank you so much for all your hard work both on our wedding day and the time you have taken after.
Everyone that has seen our photos have commented on how lovely they are and how we must have had a brilliant photographer to get such lovely scenes.
We'll recommend you to anyone we know who needs a photographer. You captured our day beautifully. Thank you!!"
