A WINTER WEDDING AT ROCK VILLAGE HALL

It was a proper winter wedding—crisp air, clear skies, and bright sparkling sunshine. Sandwiched between Christmas and New Year, 150 guests gathered in the village of Rock, Kidderminster, to celebrate Hannah and Chris.

Choosing Rock Village Hall and Church was deeply personal for Hannah. Her family farm is nearby, and generations of her family have married at Rock Church. The village hall itself is a stunning, eco-friendly venue that looks like a trendy barn conversion, offering gorgeous views towards Abberley Hill.

SURPRISE SINGERS AND FAMILY TRADITIONS

The day began with bridal preparations at the family home before moving to the Church of St Peter & St Paul. One of the highlights of the day was a surprise Hannah organised for Chris—singers posing as waitresses who burst into song halfway through the wedding breakfast.

Hannah and Chris are a fantastic, fun-loving couple. Having seen my work at a previous wedding, they knew exactly how I captured natural moments. It was a true honour to share in such a meaningful day, filled with tradition and laughter.

A CHOCOLATE BRIBE!

How Did You First Meet?: We worked together at The Chase School. Chris (a PE teacher) bribed Hannah with chocolate to let his rugby players out of her A-Level English lessons—the rest is history!

The First Date: A simple coffee at Costa in Tewkesbury. We knew pretty much straight away that we were meant to be.

The Proposal: Not very flash! Hannah was away nearly every weekend with the Young Farmers, so Chris eventually popped the question at a rare dinner out in Malvern while Hannah was actually paying the bill!

What Do You Love Most About Each Other?: Hannah loves that Chris is so laid back, and Chris loves that Hannah is feisty.

Top Tip For Brides: Be organised and don't worry about the tiny details that no one will actually notice on the day. Just enjoy the time with your family and friends!
