Hogarths Stone Manor Hotel is the sister venue to the other one they have in Solihull. Both of them have the option to get married outside.

Hogarths Stone Manor was once a private homestead designed by Edwin Thomas Hall, the architect who also designed Liberty’s department shop in London.

Following an expensive refurb it is now an impressive countryside retreat surrounded by over 25 acres of landscaped gardens and woodland providing endless photographic freedom.

It really is a stunning venue. Just make sure you allow enough time to walk round the grounds.

It was a glorious Octobers day, Katie & James invited just close family and friends to witness their intimate wedding ceremony against the Tudor-style backdrop of The Pump Rooms.

It used to be the location of a swimming pool so it's quite a sun trap. Hogarths have installed timber framed under canopy seating for guests, perfect for an outdoors wedding, come rain or shine.

I was only with them for a short while but hung around to grab a fun bath-tub shot before I left! A big thank you to Katie & James for letting me share their wedding day!

Email I received below.

"Hey, Thanks so much for the photos! Bloody love them! And the sneak peak was totally amazing!!

Tell me how you first met? who what when where why?

We first met at the same work induction course at Sainsbury's as we were both starting work at the same time.

Where was your first date?

We never really had a first date as we always met up as friends and things took off from there, Katie thought that I was a push over and a fat fuck.

I thought Katie was an amazing person that was great company to be around but a very sore loser.

Tell me about the proposal, (did you see it coming, how long was it in the planning, how did you feel, nervous, excited, freaking out?)

The proposal was over a home cooked meal which the ring was hidden in the flowers on the table, Katie didn't see it at all so some finger pointing was needed for her to notice it.

Katie knew I had a ring, thought it was early days still but she still said yes.

Tell me one thing that you love most about each other.

Katie: That were always on the same wave length.
James: That we are always thinking the same thing. (no joke).

Why did you choose Hogarths Stone Manor for your wedding?

We stayed at Hogarths just on a whim but found it was a beautiful place, lovely rooms and a friendly atmosphere, we booked an appointment with the wedding planners the next day.

Besides the ceremony, what is the one thing that you are looking forward to the most on your wedding day?

Seeing everyone, shows how much we mean to people in a nice way (and cake!).

How have you find the wedding planning? Do you have any tips for other brides?

The wedding planning was really straight forward. The wedding coordinator at Hogarths Stone Manor working behind the scenes was amazing. Try and think of all the little details ahead of time and not leave it to the last week.

Were there any hidden things or expenses you just didn’t consider before planning your day?

A lot of little things,

- the registrars interview to make sure its all legal
- table decorations
- favour box's contents
- shoes for both of us

Bonus question - As I'm a photographer, what advice can you give about choosing your wedding photographer?

Make sure you get along, you have to feel relaxed and have a good time. Teme Valley Photography for us was amazing there was no awkwardness and it all just flowed!
