As all wedding photographers will agree, keeping our fingers crossed and hoping for good weather is unavoidable part of the job!

Just like any bride, we'll all be keeping an eye on the forecast leading up to the big day.

Many people assume a cloudless bright sunny day is what we're all hoping for believing it's the best type of weather for photography.

It certainly does help to put everyone in great mood and guarantees you won't be stuck indoors!

The light produced however is very strong and directional. It can be quite harsh and cause people to squint. A light overcast day with high white cloud however is far more flattering.

The light is soft and even. It bounces around all over the place without contrasting shadows or blinding backlight.

Annie-Jo & Tom's day had this sort of weather which, photographically, added even more awesome-ness to their wedding.

These two were fantastic. So down-to-earth and up for anything!

The day was packed with so much fun! They surrounded themselves with amazing family and friends to help celebrate it all with them!
It was great to be back at Bordesley Park Farm in Redditch. A wedding venue full of character and lots of fun elements.

It's a little quirky and somewhat whimsical.

The backdrop is a sixteenth century former Bishop's home. It has an oak beamed Tudor Barn converted into a Brides hideaway upstairs and kitted out for ceremonies below.

It's the perfect place to watch guests arriving with your Bridesmaids as you get ready before going downstairs to get married.

The place also boasts some beautiful views of Worcestershire's countryside. It has a lavish marquee in their orchard, a beautiful walled garden and my two favourite features - a tree swing and sunken trampoline!

The staff at Bordesley were also brilliant making sure everything ran smoothly and on time.

Just a handful of fun formals were taken as and when the moments called for them and I was only needed until the speeches were finished.

A big thank you to Annie & Tom for choosing me to photograph their special day!

Below is the message I was sent after Annie watched the First-Look Slideshow I created for her as a surprise!

"Its absolutely beautiful! I'm crying my eyes out! Thank you so much."
